This quote is from a group claiming responsibility for the Dec 6, 2004 attack on the US Consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
...this operation comes as part of several operations that are organized and planned by al Qaeda as part of the battle against the crusaders and the Jews, as well as part of the plan to force the unbelievers to leave the Arabian Peninsula.
To all of those who think even for a moment that al Qaeda and other jihadist groups might have a legitimate motivation for their acts of violence, let's stop for a moment and consider the quote above. I'll make this crystal clear. These people are racists, hell-bent on killing Jews and anyone else who stands in their way. Don't sugarcoat it. I hate to make the comparison, but really, they are like the Nazis. However legitimate their claims may be, they have chosen to target a particular ethnic group for mass extermination. They are indoctrinating children to take up arms and participate in the bloody conflict. Even if the Jews have taken away their lands (but I'm still waiting for someone to tell me when, precisely, Jerusalem ceased being the homeland of Jews and became the center of Palestine), instead of diplomacy, these people call for genocide. Chew on that for a minute.
If anyone, perhaps the Palestinians should be mad at the UN, who actually made the decision to displace them to return the Jews to their ancestral homeland.
The US has gone to war to stop madmen before. This is neither the first nor the last time. If we don't stand in their way, who will?
And no, I'm neither a Jew, Jewish, nor Israeli.
Don't worry, Allah apparently wants these nutjobs to kill Jews and anybody who isn't also genocidal so badly that he's ok with killing innocent Muslims, even women and children. Yeah, killing innocent Muslims is bad, but it's ok as long as you make a good effort to kill some infidels too. Don't worry, Al-Zarqawi promises he is authorized by Allah himself to make that ruling. Now go kill some kids so you can get your virgins! Hmmm, maybe you'd better check the Koran regarding eligibility for eternal orgies first.
[Those of our people who collaborate with the Crusaders] turned their tongues and pens to criticize the jihad fighters, accusing them of grave crimes under the pretext that these [martyrdom] operations sometimes involve the killing of those described as civilians or innocents... Since I know that the jihad fighters...fully observe the obligations of Islamic law in these operations . and how could it be otherwise . . I want here to clarify the position of the Shari'a regarding such incidents in which Muslims are killed incidentally... There is no doubt that Allah has ordered us to target the unbelievers, to kill them and to fight them, by any means that can achieve this goal, even if [those hurt] by these means include [not just] those infidels against whom war is being waged . who are the intended targets . but also those who are not intended as targets, such as women, children, and other such infidels whose intentional killing is not permitted. This is what the Muslim jurists conventionally define as 'collateral killing.'
The legitimacy of these [means] has been established even if [their use] results in the killing of a number of Muslims even if it is known that they are likely to be there at the time, for whatever reason. This is justified under the principle of Dharura [overriding necessity], due to the fact that it is impossible to avoid them and to distinguish between them and those infidels against whom war is being waged and who are the intended targets. Admittedly, the killing of a number of Muslims whom it is forbidden to kill is undoubtedly a grave evil; however, it is permissible to commit this evil . indeed, it is even required . in order to ward off a greater evil, namely, the evil of suspending jihad. To claim that [such means of war] are not permissible here, especially in light of the present form of fighting, means inevitably suspending jihad and stopping it . indeed, burying it alive and completely shutting the gate of jihad.
